Exactly How to Refine Your Messaging in Your Online Business
Maximum Impact. Minimal Effort.
Here’s the messaging game-changer you didn’t know you needed — done entirely for you.
Now that your brand perception is dialed in, it’s time to make sure your messaging reflects that authority — clearly, persuasively, and consistently. When your message is clear and positioned for impact, sales happen naturally — without push or persuasion.
You don’t need a full-time copywriter — you need a structured system in place for refining, enhancing, and elevating your messaging with max precision and minimal exertion.
You can manually craft every piece of content — but that’s time you could be spending scaling, serving clients, and deepening your brand’s impact. When your messaging system is working for you, you free up bandwidth for what actually moves the needle — serving clients, building your brand, and scaling effortlessly.
This post is your shortcut. I’m going to show you how AI can help you refine your message, scale faster, and sell effortlessly. If you take a moment to train your AI upfront, you won’t have to second-guess your messaging again — because you’ll have a system that sharpens and supports your voice seamlessly.
AI won’t replace strategy, but when used correctly, it accelerates clarity, sharpens positioning, and reinforces authority in every word you put out. The more intentional effort you put into this initial setup, the sharper and more aligned its output becomes. You get out what you put in, and you and your AI will train each other in the process.
The Exact Process I Used to Train AI to Become My CMO
AI is only as powerful as the instructions you give it. Here’s the exact system I used to refine my messaging, scale my content, and maintain brand precision on my behalf.
Step 1: Use AI to Build Your Brand Manifesto (Your Messaging North Star)
Before you let AI write anything, you need to define your brand voice, positioning, and buyer psychology. I worked with ChatGPT to create Intention to Empire’s Brand Manifesto to ensure every piece of messaging aligns with Intention to Empire’s business strategy. Your manifesto should cover:
Core Brand Positioning — Who you serve, how you serve them, and what makes your offer distinct.
Ideal Client Psychology — What motivates your buyers to invest, and what objections you need to overcome.
Tone & Language Guidelines — The style, authority level, and emotional undertones of your brand voice.
Messaging Pillars — The key themes you consistently reinforce to build trust and demand.
Offer Positioning — How each product or service is framed as a premium, high-value solution.
Formatting Preferences — Typography, spacing, emphasis, and visual clarity to maintain brand consistency.
Sequential Offer Structure — Ensuring your messaging naturally leads buyers from one offer to the next.
Visual & Brand Identity — Making sure your words align with the premium, high-converting aesthetic of your brand.
Your AI Jumpstart Prompt: Create Your Brand Manifesto
To get the best possible Brand Manifesto, start by pasting this prompt directly into ChatGPT [change the text inside the brackets]:
“I want you to act as a brand strategist and expert copywriter. Help me develop a comprehensive Brand Manifesto that defines my business’s positioning, voice, and messaging foundation.
Industry/Niche: [Specify your niche — Business/Coaching, Spiritual/Mindfulness, Holistic/Healing, Lifestyle/Leadership, Wellness/Travel, etc.]
Brand Type: [Specify whether you are a personal brand (e.g., coach, consultant) or a company brand (e.g., agency, service provider)]. Adjust the voice accordingly.
Brand Values & Vision: [Describe the guiding principles and mission of your brand.]
My priorities are conversion, sales, and premium positioning. The messaging should be clear, direct, and compelling for investment-ready buyers. I don’t need to sell: I SHOWCASE, and sales happen naturally because the transformation and reasons to invest are obvious. My messaging should always reflect and embody this.
Now, generate a structured Brand Manifesto that includes the following:
Core Brand Positioning — Who I serve, how I serve them, and what makes my offer distinct.
Ideal Client Psychology — What motivates my buyers to invest and what objections I need to overcome.
Tone & Language Guidelines — The style, authority level, and emotional undertones of my brand voice.
Messaging Pillars — The key themes I consistently reinforce to build trust and demand.
Offer Positioning — How each product or service is framed as a premium, high-value solution.
Formatting Preferences — Typography, spacing, emphasis, and visual clarity to maintain brand consistency.
Sequential Offer Structure — Ensuring my messaging naturally leads buyers from one offer to the next.
Visual & Brand Identity — Ensuring my messaging aligns with the premium, high-converting aesthetic of my brand (you'll need to upload some screenshot examples).
What questions do you have for me, and what examples of my work or offerings do you need to make this as accurate and effective as possible? As we pass this back and forth, identify what aligns and what feels misaligned with my overall strategy. Be specific — what works, what doesn’t, and why? Then, confirm if everything is fully aligned with my priorities, target market, overall positioning, and brand perception.
Once the manifesto is complete, generate a researched list of SEO keywords that I should incorporate into my website copy to maximize visibility and attract the right buyers.
Step 2: Train & Refine AI for Sales-Driven Messaging
Once your Brand Manifesto is ready, guide AI to ensure it fully understands your positioning before generating content:
Paste your Brand Manifesto and tell AI to analyze it before generating any content.
Give examples of strong past messaging and ask it to match the tone, directness, and style.
Ask AI to summarize your positioning. If anything is off, refine it until it’s fully aligned.
Treat AI as an editor, not just a writer — it should sharpen your messaging, not replace your voice. Sometimes I ask it to do a final sweep to remove anything that I don’t want. (“Do a final sweep to check for any negative tone, shame-marketing, or instances of convincing a buyer who is not at the level of my investment-ready target buyers.”)
If you make updates to its writing, always feed it back the finished product. Ask it to identify and incorporate the difference between what it gave you and what you created, so it knows what to do moving forward.
Step 3: Write Your Website & Marketing Copy
Feed it excerpts from the Intention to Empire Offer Planning and Content Collection templates to co-write your website copy.
Use that refined website copy to generate a full content plan and create marketing content with precision.
Feed it excerpts from the Intention to Empire Offer Planning and Content Collection templates to co-write your website copy.
Why This Matters:
Messaging is what turns visibility into sales. When your copy is sharp, compelling, and effortless to produce, scaling becomes seamless.
One pro tip: The single thing I see most when working with my clients 1:1 — copy that’s way too long. Too much detail, too much convincing or over-explaining. In every instance, remember you don’t need to sell. You showcase, then sales just happen because the transformation and reasons to invest are obvious.
